Clinical Outcomes Director directs in-depth analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees and leads staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Director creates, defines, and implements performance metrics to review program effectiveness. Evaluates patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Director identifies opportunities and provides recommendations to improve program delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to senior management. The Clinical Outcomes Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Clinical Outcomes Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     The Director of Quality Management will typically oversee a team of quality improvement specialists, patient safety officers, and other staff involved in quality assurance and patient safety initiatives. Supported by a Manager of Quality, a Manager of Infection Control, and a Patient Safety Supervisor, the Director will lead an experienced team. Additionally, the Director would report to the Chief Medical Officer or the Chief Nursing Officer of the health care organization. 

    The Director of Quality Management will lead several expansive and facility-wide programs ranging from Clinical Quality to Patient Safety and Infection control. This Director of Quality Management will be responsible for developing and implementing initiatives to improve patient care and safety, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. They will also analyze data, lead teams, and provide education to staff on quality improvement practices, serving as a key resource for quality-related issues within the organization.
