Clinical Outcomes Director directs in-depth analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees and leads staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Director creates, defines, and implements performance metrics to review program effectiveness. Evaluates patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Director identifies opportunities and provides recommendations to improve program delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to senior management. The Clinical Outcomes Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Clinical Outcomes Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. The Women and Infant Services Director will join an organization with an outstanding reputation in the community and across the Southwest.

    The Women and Infant Services Director will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer. Supported by 2 managers and several tenured charge nurses, this person will lead a fantastic team and busy department seeing over 600 deliveries per year and helping seasoned staff devoted to quality care.

    The Women and Infant Services Director will be in charge of overseeing that care provided by nurses is efficient and thorough. This involves keeping staff up to date with current best practices and making sure they are following guidelines set by the hospital. In addition, the position requires collaboration with the CNO, as well as managers to achieve the highest level of operational and clinical efficiency that aligns with the hospital’s standards and values. The Women and Infant Services Director will also have opportunities to develop their staff through education and quality improvement initiatives.
