Clinical Outcomes Director directs in-depth analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees and leads staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Director creates, defines, and implements performance metrics to review program effectiveness. Evaluates patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Director identifies opportunities and provides recommendations to improve program delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to senior management. The Clinical Outcomes Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Clinical Outcomes Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Serves as the agency’s compliance officer. Serves as a key member of the QAPI committee.
Functions under the general direction of and is responsible to the Chief Executive Officer. Supervises all clinical staff.
Preferred Qualifications- Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Preferred Experience: Broad knowledge of all aspects of home health care. Preferably two years of experience in caring for terminal patients and others with life-limiting illnesses.
- Pain and symptom control management skills
- Administrative and computer & technology skills (including Electronic Medical Records, text messaging and Microsoft Office products)
- Attention to detail
- Experience in supervision and coordinating the work of others
- Has experience and interest in teaching/mentoring RN Case Management staff
- Required Licensure: Currently licensed RN in Michigan; valid driver’s license, and current CPR certification
