Clinical Outcomes Director directs in-depth analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees and leads staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Director creates, defines, and implements performance metrics to review program effectiveness. Evaluates patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Director identifies opportunities and provides recommendations to improve program delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to senior management. The Clinical Outcomes Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Clinical Outcomes Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     • Manage the design and implementation of BGCTNV’s internal evaluation process, in areas of youth impact such as Academic Success, Healthy lifestyles, Good Character & Citizenship as well as staff development, program quality, efficiency, and safety throughout 23 club locations.
    • Identify current data sources and indicators of measuring programs, especially as they align with outcomes and successes, and determine opportunities for enhancement
    • Design/modify specific data collection instruments to align with best practices to meet organizational goals (i.e. NYOI, Program Quality Assessment (PQA), Summer Enrichment, Academic Data, etc.)
    • Identify gaps in data, as it relates to data we should be collecting/tracking, and/or better ways to use the data we have, as well as manage the accuracy of collected metrics
    • Provide operational and programmatic metrics for the Monthly Dashboard presented at Board meetings
    • Conduct qualitative data collection to identify member and staff success stories that can be promoted to donors, grants, and marketing.
    • Partner with Program Directors/Coordinators to assess program theory/logic models, determine programmatic outcomes, and align activities with the Member Tracking System database.
    • Lead effort to gather, manage, and utilize data in improvement planning and goal setting in collaboration with Regional Service Directors and Club Directors.
    • Identify and implement best practices in evidence-based program evaluation methodologies in youth development, after-school programs, and community-based programs at the state and national levels
    • Create program evaluation training presentations for All Staff Training days that cater to differing audiences depending on staff position within the organization.
    • Oversee Outcome & Evaluation departmental budget, and stay current to trends in evaluation tools that are cost-efficient and practical for users and administrators,
    • Actively seek funding opportunities that support expansion efforts for program evaluation best practices, professional development training, and increasing staff. Support staff as they input and utilize member and parent/caregiver client and outcome data in grant writing and program improvement planning
    • Collect, analyze, report, and present findings to staff to understand how to better serve youth in our clubs.
    • Develop aggregations and data visualizations for interpreted data to better tell the BGCTNV story of impact through Microsoft Power BI and Excel
    • Provide technical assistance and coaching to interpret, analyze, and utilize data
    • Provide reports to stakeholders to impart data-driven programing
    • Assist with improving Member Tracking System (MTS) data entry procedures, activity codes, and staff trainings.
    • Develop relationships with school districts to collect academic data and draft data sharing agreements in collaboratin with BGCTNV’s legal team
    • Lead efforts to develop a digital program menu via Microsoft SharePoint

    SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

    • Experience working with and/or on behalf of youth is a plus
    • Familiarity working with school districts and academically related initiatives in Tennessee
    • Collection, interpretation, validation, and visualization of quantitative and qualitative data
    • Ability to use data to inform best practices
    • Ability to simplify complex information to promote greater understanding of diverse stakeholders
    • Problem solving skills; ability to be innovative
    • Project Management skills; ability to manage multiple projects/tasks at one time
    • Team attitude with a desire to help when needed
    • Ability to seek and build partnerships to enhance program quality and efficiencies
    • Establish and maintain support-driven working relationships within the Club
    • Ability to simplify complex information to promote greater understanding of diverse stakeholders

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be 18 years of age
    • Bachelor’s degree with associated technical experience
    • Background in Elementary or Secondary Education, and/or Statistics is preferred
    • Considerable experience utilizing software applications and other technology-based tools to enhance assessment efforts and capabilities in the area of data analytics.
    • Organized, responsible, flexible, motivated, and professional.
