Clinical Outcomes Director directs in-depth analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees and leads staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Director creates, defines, and implements performance metrics to review program effectiveness. Evaluates patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Director identifies opportunities and provides recommendations to improve program delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to senior management. The Clinical Outcomes Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Clinical Outcomes Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Requirements:
    SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
    1. Bachelor's degree in a rehabilitation discipline (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology) required; Master's degree preferred
    2. Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice
    3. Minimum of 3 years' direct patient care experience and 1 year management experience preferred
    4. Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third party billing required
    5. Must have good verbal and written communication skills
    6. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and problem solve appropriately
    7. Must have thorough knowledge of all state practice acts
    8. Must possess the ability to positively interact with personnel, patients, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
    9. Must possess the ability to effectively manage/motivate staff.
