Clinical Outcomes Director directs in-depth analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees and leads staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Director creates, defines, and implements performance metrics to review program effectiveness. Evaluates patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Director identifies opportunities and provides recommendations to improve program delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to senior management. The Clinical Outcomes Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Clinical Outcomes Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Job DescriptionROLE of the POSITION The Director of Educational Outcomes Assessment will design a comprehensive program of student assessments, design and develop a system for program evaluation that will support continuous curriculum improvement, and support faculty in the development of new student assessment strategies. The Director will collaborate with the educational deans, and faculty to assess learning outcomes, analyze data, and report results. This individual will promote a culture of evidence-based assessment across UNLV School of Medicine and provide faculty development on current assessment practices. The Director will guide the development of assessment strategies and program evaluation for curricular elements and core competencies for all degree programs at UNLV School of Medicine. As a faculty member, this individual will collaborate with UNLV School of Medicine faculty in scholarly publications on educational approaches, outcomes, and assessments. The ideal candidate be must have the following experience: Program Evaluation and Assessment Data Collection and Reporting Policy Development Graduate Medical Education QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS This position requires a Doctorate degree in measurement, statistics, evaluation or related field from a regionally accredited college or university and 5 years of experience.
