Clinical Outcomes Director directs in-depth analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees and leads staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Director creates, defines, and implements performance metrics to review program effectiveness. Evaluates patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Director identifies opportunities and provides recommendations to improve program delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to senior management. The Clinical Outcomes Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Clinical Outcomes Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     The Clinical Outcomes Analyst 2 obtains and analyzes clinical data to identify process improvement opportunities, reviews data and identifies trends, reports findings, inputs analysis into clinical databases for core measures and other related programs and recommends process improvement initiatives that can enhance the quality of patient care for the organization. The Clinical Outcomes Analyst 2 collects data for submission to registries such as NCDR and centers of excellence such as SRC.  This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of tasks, relies on personal judgment to plan and accomplish goals under minimal supervision.


    EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
    • Excellent analytical and communication skills
    • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.

    LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Current Louisiana RN license.
