Clinical Outcomes Director directs in-depth analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees and leads staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Director creates, defines, and implements performance metrics to review program effectiveness. Evaluates patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Director identifies opportunities and provides recommendations to improve program delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to senior management. The Clinical Outcomes Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Clinical Outcomes Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Job Objective: The Clinical Director is a member of senior management who ensures appropriate delivery of community mental health services and compliance with state and federal regulations as well as the company’s operating model. The primary purpose of this position is to provide corporate consultation, oversight and support to the Executive Director in the planning, organization, development, control and direction of the overall clinical operations in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility. Also, to ensure that the highest level of quality care, customer service, and leadership is maintained at all times. Ensure proper documentation, treatment, and discharge planning for all clients completing treatment with PNP. Oversee all aspects of supervision to clinical staff, including interns, appropriate contractors, and volunteers.

    Immediate Supervisor: Executive Director

    Primary Responsibilities:

    · Provide clinical consultation and oversight to all clinical areas within the Agency. Assesses and develops overall clinical services.

    · Provide direct guidance in crisis situations, dilemmas, or other challenging clinical situations.

    · Collaborate with other Clinicians to support staff development, address concerns and needs and provide feedback regarding clinical professional growth.

    · Provide Clinical Supervision to Clinicians according to prospective board licensure requirements if eligible to provide clinical supervision.

    · Complete and/or review initial clinical assessments and reassessments for all programs, including formulating diagnosis for youth and adults with emotional and behavioral disturbances.

    · Develop a calendar of weekly and/or monthly clinical staffing for all Clinicians and QMHPs. Lead clinical staffing/treatment team meeting and document on clinical staffing form (reviewing participant progress, ISP, interventions/strategies and discharge planning).

    · Provide crisis counseling/intervention and document accordingly, ensuring that crisis situations are handled in a therapeutic manner and appropriate authorities are notified of such situations.

    · Develop clinically sound treatment plans and monitor that the treatment plan is being implemented.

    · Assist in making revisions/updates to treatment plan.

    · Provide training to agency staff to include new employee orientation and other specialized training.

    · Promote the program in a positive manner to elicit referrals and maintain census and growth of the program. (Ongoing)

    · Attend all annual mandatory agency training (TOVA, CPR & First Aid, Human Rights, HIPAA, etc.) (As needed)

    · Provides in-service training to clinical staff on a regularly scheduled basis.

    · Monitors clinical records regularly for quality and compliance with State, Federal, and any grant/funding source regulations. Conducts mock inspections.

    · Assist in the hiring and termination process as needed.

    · Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Job Requirements:

    ● Be available to provide services during the day, evening, weekends, and holidays.

    ● Own an operable, registered, and insured vehicle to be used for service delivery.

    ● Keep vehicles registered and insured during the entire length of employment.

    ● Provide client and guardian/family transportation in their own vehicle to conduct case management and

    counseling services when deemed necessary.

    ● Provide and maintain an acceptable driving record.

    ● Provide services in various neighborhoods, including crime-ridden and poverty-stricken communities.

    ● Conduct home visits and sessions within the homes of clients, which may present in unsanitary and/or unhealthy conditions.

    ● Possess, keep, use, and own a personal cell phone providing the cell phone number to the Program Supervisor, Compliance Coordinator, Case Managers and Clinical Director, clients, and legal guardians for service delivery.

    ● Possess, keep, and check two times daily a valid PNP email address.

    ● Have access to and ability to use a computer, printer, internet services, and other necessary items and equipment to produce electronic program documentation/paperwork.

    ● Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) and the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS)

    Knowledge skills and abilities:

    · Compliance with the appropriate regulatory board to maintain license status is required.

    · Knowledge of regulatory requirements for community mental health services is preferred.

    · Must have working knowledge of the areas of need for adults with serious mental illness and youth with mental health diagnoses; must have appropriate clinical skills to train supervisees in community mental health programs.

    · Must be able to work from a person-centered framework when providing training services; must have clinical interviewing skills; must have understanding or ability to train in appropriate mental health interventions; must be able to identify clinical risk factors for suicide, violence and other risky

    · behaviors.

    Qualifications

    Must be a licensed mental health professional in the state of Virginia. Must also have a minimum of five years experience providing direct services to persons with a mental health diagnosis.

    Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
