Clinical Outcomes Director directs in-depth analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees and leads staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Director creates, defines, and implements performance metrics to review program effectiveness. Evaluates patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Director identifies opportunities and provides recommendations to improve program delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to senior management. The Clinical Outcomes Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Clinical Outcomes Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     The Nurse Director of Surgical Services will join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes and advancing surgical care. As a visionary leader, you will drive the strategic development, coordination, and evaluation of our surgical services, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, innovation, and collaboration throughout the Perioperative Surgical Services department.

    Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Nurse Director of Surgical Services will oversee all Perioperative Surgical Services including the Operating Rooms, PreOp/PACU, and Ambulatory Surgery Center, and be supported by a team of Nurse Managers, Assistant Nurse Managers, Educators, and Nurses, and support staff. The Nurse Director of Surgical Services will be responsible for the following:

    • Lead and mentor a team of surgical professionals, including nurses, surgeons, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence, growth, and teamwork.
    • Develop and implement strategic initiatives that optimize surgical services, aligning with best practices and regulatory standards.
    • Collaborate with medical staff, hospital leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to enhance surgical processes and patient experiences.
    • Oversee quality improvement efforts, utilizing data analytics to drive evidence-based practices and safety enhancements.
    • Foster an environment of continuous education and professional development for surgical staff.
    • Engage in research and innovation to advance surgical care and technology.
