Clinical Outcomes Director directs in-depth analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees and leads staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Director creates, defines, and implements performance metrics to review program effectiveness. Evaluates patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Director identifies opportunities and provides recommendations to improve program delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to senior management. The Clinical Outcomes Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Clinical Outcomes Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     The role of the Nursing Director of Med Surg involves supervising two standard Med/Surg Inpatient Units that function as extensive care centers for a diverse patient demographic, managing a spectrum of medical and surgical cases. The RN Director, Med Surg, will take charge of a team comprising over 60 professionals, which includes an RN Manager, Nurse Educators, Clinical Nurse Coordinators, RNs, LPNs, Patient Care Techs, Lead Patient Care Techs, New Grad RNs, and Unit Secretaries. In this capacity, the director will play a crucial role in ensuring streamlined operations, promoting high levels of employee engagement, and upholding positive patient experience scores.

    The Med Surg Nursing Director will be dedicated to enhancing departmental excellence through performance improvement and optimal resource utilization. Responsibilities include developing an operational system for a seamless patient flow, facilitating a comprehensive education program, collaborating with physicians, evaluating new technology, and actively engaging interdisciplinary teams. The position involves coordinating high-risk patient conferences, leading research projects, and directing short and long-range programs to achieve facility objectives.
