Oversees and leads staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Director creates, defines, and implements performance metrics to review program effectiveness. Evaluates patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. The Nurse Director Surgical Services will be responsible for oversight of the Perioperative Services Division. This includes oversight of the OR, main hospital, ambulatory surgery, central sterile, pre op, and procedure rooms. They will work closely with and oversee managers and supervisors of these areas. The Surgery Nursing Director will coordinate patient care with other departments and ensure that all services provided are safe, effective, and patient-centered. The Nurse Director Surgical Services will be responsible for the day to day operations and meeting the needs of the patient, staff, physicians, and hospital.
The ideal Surgery Nursing Director candidate will have their BSN (MSN preferred), and at least 5 years of management experience in acute care surgical settings.
