CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER manages the collection and analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER provides advanced analyses and reports on clinical outcomes data. Evaluates and summarizes patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER identifies areas for improvement and assists leaders/physicians in developing strategies to improve performance. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a director. The CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. The Labor and Delivery RN Manager will report directly to the Director of Maternal Child Services. Supported by several tenured charge nurses and an Assistant Manager, this person will lead a fantastic team and busy department with over 50 FTEs. The Labor and Delivery RN Manager will be in charge of overseeing that care provided by nurses is efficient and thorough. This involves keeping staff up to date with current best practices and making sure they are following guidelines set by the hospital. In addition, the position requires collaboration with the Maternal Child Services Director and other hospital managers to achieve the highest level of operational and clinical efficiency that aligns with the hospital’s standards and values. The Labor and Delivery RN Manager will also have opportunities to develop their staff through education and quality improvement initiatives, as well as impacting the happiest day of a new parent’s life.
