CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER manages the collection and analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER provides advanced analyses and reports on clinical outcomes data. Evaluates and summarizes patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER identifies areas for improvement and assists leaders/physicians in developing strategies to improve performance. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a director. The CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The Lab Technician will be responsible for assisting the clinical research staff in conducting clinical research trials.

    Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Prepares, processes, and ships laboratory samples to outside laboratories following IATA regulations.
    • Conducts venipuncture and phlebotomy on study subjects.
    • Provides quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
    • Verifies subject by reading subject identification.
    • Maintains specimen integrity by using an aseptic technique, following protocol procedures; observing protocol specific procedures.
    • Tracks collected specimens by initialing, dating, and noting times of collection; maintaining daily tallies of collections performed as applicable
    • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
    • Enhances laboratory department by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
    • Monitors inventory of laboratory supplies and laboratory kits and order as needed.
    • Organizes laboratory layout and facilitates laboratory operations.
    • Conducts clinical studies according to FDA regulations and guidelines.
    • Protects the safety and welfare of the study subjects by ensuring that the study is conducted properly and in compliance with ICH/GCP and Optimal Research Standing Operating Procedures.
    • Knowledgeable of the Sponsor’s protocol so that all study activities are completed correct
    • Other tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    Knowledge & Experience:

    Education:
    •  High school diploma or equivalent required
    Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience.
    Credentials:
    • Phlebotomy certification required
    Knowledge and Skills:
    • Meticulous attention to details and deadlines.
    • Knowledge of basic use of scientific methods, procedures, and techniques
    • Good communication skills are required, both written and verbal
    • Fluent English is a must, Spanish is preferred.
