CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER manages the collection and analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER provides advanced analyses and reports on clinical outcomes data. Evaluates and summarizes patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER identifies areas for improvement and assists leaders/physicians in developing strategies to improve performance. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a director. The CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Under the direction of the Clinical Excellence Director, this position is primarily responsible to achieve excellence in clinical outcomes management and performance improvement by partnering with physicians, nursing, clinical documentation specialist and analyst team to evaluate focused clinical outcomes and process measures to ensure timely delivery of best practices and widespread dissemination of results and opportunities for improvement. The Clinical Excellence Outcome and Performance Improvement Specialist works with the project executive sponsors, initiative owners and leads to bring timely and accurate information to improvement teams and clinical/operational leaders to support continuous improvement and achieving of high quality outcomes, and financial stewardship associated within the scope of this role.

    Required qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

    • California Registered Nurse License upon hire.

    • 5 years Related experience in inpatient clinical setting.

    • 2 years Experience in Performance improvement.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Master's Degree in Nursing

    • AHIMA upon hire.
