CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER manages the collection and analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER provides advanced analyses and reports on clinical outcomes data. Evaluates and summarizes patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER identifies areas for improvement and assists leaders/physicians in developing strategies to improve performance. Under the direction of the Clinical Director, the Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for the supervision of Registered Nurses, LPN’s, Nursing Assistants, as well as other clinical staff of the assigned department(s). The Nurse Manager is responsible for the daily operations as well as the overall delivery of patient care through promotion of safety and well-being of all patients throughout their assigned departments. They are responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Clinical Nurse Manager will direct and coordinate all nursing care for their assigned unit based on established clinical nursing practice standards. They will collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. The clinical nurse manager supports the organization's vision and mission, utilizes knowledge of patient age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. They have an understanding of HIPAA policies and procedures, understands the importance of patient safety, and actively participates in patient safety through evidence-based practices.
Education:
Associate’s Degree Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree Preferred
Certifications/Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hospital based nursing care with at least 2 years’ experience in a relevant nursing leadership/manager/charge role preferred.
RN license in the state of hire required
BLS certification required
