CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER manages the collection and analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER provides advanced analyses and reports on clinical outcomes data. Evaluates and summarizes patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER identifies areas for improvement and assists leaders/physicians in developing strategies to improve performance. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a director. The CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. The Cardiovascular Outcomes Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, deployment, and support of the organization’s cardiology quality review processes and systems. The Cardiovascular Outcomes Coordinator provides direction and support as a member of the cardiovascular team to maximize quality of care to all patients within the organization. The Cardiovascular Outcomes Coordinator supports both the clinical staff and the medical staff in the review, collection and reporting of quality and performance improvement data throughout the organization.
Responsible for coordinating activities related to American College of Cardiology Accreditation for Chest Pain, Heart Center of Excellence and Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories including multidisciplinary team meetings, supply chain coordination, policy and procedure maintenance, education for staff, patient satisfaction and safety, and other issues related to compliance with guidelines and best practices. The Cardiovascular Outcomes Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and maintaining accreditation requirements and the delegation of duties to ensure compliance with these guidelines.
