CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER manages the collection and analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER provides advanced analyses and reports on clinical outcomes data. Evaluates and summarizes patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER identifies areas for improvement and assists leaders/physicians in developing strategies to improve performance. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a director. The CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Job Summary and Qualifications

    • You will reviews and monitor patient records, and communicate with the clinical team to ensure quality and safety standards of care are met.
    • You will promote and monitor evidence-based best practices.
    • Assists to coordinate, promote, and maintain house-wide patient safety initiatives.
    • Coordinates and directs publicly reported metrics initiatives as assigned; assures all concurrent and retrospective data collection is performed accurately and that databases are appropriately maintained.
    • Works collaboratively with CDI and Nurse Navigator team to ensure coding accuracy for all charts reviewed in support of initiatives such as readmissions reduction and Core Measures.
    • Reports to Quality Council and other committees as assigned.
    • Works collaboratively with Risk Management to investigate clinical complaints or risk issues

    What qualifications you will need:
    • Bachelor's Degree required.
    • 4 years of recent clinical healthcare experience is required.
    • Registered Nurse (RN) with previous experience in quality & data management is preferred.
    • Critical Care experience is preferred.
    • Must possess basic PC skills in a windows operating environment, specifically MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
