Parkview Regional Medical Center (PRMC) is accepting applications for a clinical generalist pharmacist.
Position Details: The clinical generalist will provide pharmaceutical care services to the patients of PRMC & Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Clinical generalists rotate through clinical and distribution services, however, anticipate being assigned to a clinical pharmacist role >80% of the month. These services include, but are not limited to, multidisciplinary rounding 7 days per week, oversight related to monitoring, preparation, dispensing, and proper documentation of patient medication therapy, as well as advising physicians on matters pertaining to drug usage and control within assigned hospital locations. Providing drug information, patient information, and oversight of information and dispensing processes and systems is also critical. Clinical practices include dosing and monitoring anticoagulants, antimicrobials, total parenteral nutrition, patient-controlled analgesia, and others. With our robust affiliation with various pharmacy schools, the expansion of pharmacy residency programs, and continued growth of the Graduate Medical Education program at these facilities, generalists have ample opportunity to mentor pharmacy IPPE/APPE students and PGY1 pharmacy residents while also impact multidisciplinary personnel though continued education.

Position Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution and have completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency or have equivalent hospital practice experience. Pharmacy licensure or eligibility in Indiana is required. Candidates must have a high level of clinical practice skills, enthusiasm for teaching, and the interpersonal skills needed to interact effectively with students, health professionals, and patients.
