Clinical Pharmacist directs and develops research of existing and new prescription drugs and conducts utilization reviews to develop guidelines for usage, prior authorization, and updates to formulary. Monitors patient data on drug therapies outcomes, reactions, and errors. Being a Clinical Pharmacist provides education and outreach to medical staff on prescribing guidelines, alternative drug therapies, and risk mitigation. Administers a prior authorization program. Additionally, Clinical Pharmacist requires a doctorate degree in pharmacy (Pharm.D.). Typically reports to a manager or supervisor. Requires Registered Pharmacist (RPh).     This trusted 150 bed Level III Certified Trauma center is looking for an Acute Care Pharmacist to join their dedicated team. The Hospital Pharmacist will support this district hospital’s pharmaceutical efforts. This Hospital specializes in a broad range of patient care such as trauma, cancer, stroke and rehabilitation.

    The Acute Care Pharmacist will report to a tenured Pharmacy Manager and work alongside other exceptional Pharmacists at the inpatient facility. Within this front-facing position, the Inpatient Pharmacist will work closely with other Pharmacists to address patient needs and provide continuous quality care.

    The Acute Care Pharmacist will work with experienced MD’s, tenured Nurse Practitioners and supportive Pharmacist’s. The Hospital pharmacist will support inpatient, ambulatory, cancer and orthopedic patients. Opportunities for growth within this accredited facility are endless for the Clinical Pharmacist.  A strong, experienced Acute Care Pharmacist with PGY1 and/or PGY2 Inpatient experience will surely earn a quick interview.

    Within this role, the  Acute Care Pharmacist will assess a patient's health problems and identify whether the medications are meeting the patient’s needs. The Hospital Pharmacist will continue to monitor the patient's progress and evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of the patient's medication. By working in collaboration with patient’s physicians and other providers the team will create a care plan for individuals.
