The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for overseeing all medication procurement, storage, and preparation in the health system; verifies orders for medications, monitor patient medication therapies, provide drug information, facilitate safe medication use, supervise, and direct support personnel, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, policies, procedures, codes, and standards of the organization. In the absence of the pharmacy director, a clinical pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy director. Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS or Doctorate Pharmacy degree. Current Alabama Pharmacist License, required. Sterile Compounding Certification, required. BLS, required. The position is responsible to the Director of Pharmacy.
