Being a Clinical Programmer performs data validation and develops algorithms for data management, typically using SAS programming language. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Programmer typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Clinical Programmer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.     We are currently searching for a skilled professional to join a well-known client's team as a remote Statistical Programmer. Their work will have a direct impact on the organization and the larger clinical industry, making this an amazing career opportunity.

    The Statistical Programmer is responsible for providing programming support for clinical trials.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Understand and implement CDISC and other regulatory standards.
    • Follow internal SAS programming conventions.
    • Apply knowledge of SAS programming to program and/or validate statistical outputs according to the statistical analysis plan and other specifications; including but not limited to:
      • SDTM, ADaM or other derived datasets
      • Tables, listings, and figures
    • Review and provide input on case report form design.
    • May draft programming specifications
    • Work effectively with other programmers, statisticians, data managers, database programmers and other cross-functional team members to ensure accurate and high-quality statistical outputs.
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
      • Strong understanding of departmental and company procedures; ability to guide others on procedures.
    • Additional Responsibilities
      • Perform other duties as requested by management.
    EXPERIENCE
    • At least 1 year of direct SAS programming experience in pharmaceutical development or CRO environment preferred, but not required.
    EDUCATION
    • The ideal candidate should have a degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related field; work experience may be substituted for a degree.

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail are required.
