The Multimedia Associate will assist with the planning, development and implementation of graphic design and creative work associated with the Institution's marketing and communications materials and events. The Multimedia Associate will report to the Marketing and Communication Director. The Multimedia Associate is responsible for creating engaging visual images and content to improve MMRI’s brand awareness. This position work with all aspects of production, creating graphics for viewers depending on requirements and media demands. This position will also support the marketing and communications events strategy and planning.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Requirements
· Associates degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Degree in Public Relations, Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field required.
· Three to five years of experience in working in Marketing or related field.
· Experience in graphic design and putting together marketing materials, including annual reports, newsletters, etc.
· Extensive knowledge of public relations principles, event planning and strategies.
· Willingness to help where needed. Strong team player.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent proofreading and editing skills required.
· Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and work independently.
· Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Creative and effective problem-solving skills.
· Proficient with social media dashboards / management tools and social/web analytics software.
· Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite.
