    Your Role With Us:

    • Demonstrates competency in delivery of care based on the patient care plan and study protocols, including but not limited to administration of study drugs.
    • Identify potential patients for clinical trials and determine eligibility; Consent patients to clinical trials and provide effective orientation to the clinical trial process to patients and families.
    • Identify patient needs and assist patients in optimizing resources; Coordinate care for patients following all clinical trial requirements including organizing and facilitating access for referrals, tests, procedures, and results.
    • Problem-solve issues with patient adherence to protocol requirements; Track interventions and manage outcomes for patient safety.
    • Responsible for adverse event monitoring and reporting per protocol; Facilitate interaction and communication with oncology providers to coordinate a plan of care according to clinical trial requirements.
    • Provide a single point of contact for physicians and office staff in managing patients on clinical trial.
    • Accurate and complete documentation in EMR and electronic data capturing systems per specific trial protocol guidelines; Follow regulations for Good Clinical Practice and Human Subjects Protection.
    • Work with data manager to ensure correct data flow and timely data submission to protocol sponsor and federal agencies; Ensure compliance with Commission on Cancer standard for clinical research information and accruals.
    • Complete quality audits as assigned; Provide all required data to study auditors and make requested corrections.
    • Seeks and utilizes evidence based practice; Maintains good working knowledge of unit based performance and outcomes.
    • Attend committee meetings to provide Clinical Research report as requested; Attend Cancer Conference as requested; Attend cancer clinical trials cooperative group meeting each year.

    Background/Expertise:

    • BSN Degree required.
    • Registered Nurse License in State of Oregon, Basic Life Support via AHA, Oncology Certified Nurse, and CCRC required at time of hire.
    • Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience required; Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience preferred; Clinical Research experience preferred; Oncology experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical skills.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to use professional judgment in emergency situations.
    • Must have basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
    • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment; Ability to serve as team leader; Ability to communicate clearly and constructively-written and verbal. (Legible handwriting, accurate spelling, clear enunciation, well modulated voice).
    • Must have organizational and delegation skills; Ability to work alongside or in conjunction with Interpretive Services.
