Clinical Research Director directs and oversees the clinical research function for a healthcare organization. Develops research studies and creates standards and guidelines for clinical research services and programs. Being a Clinical Research Director ensures adherence to standard operating procedures, good clinical practice and FDA regulations. Requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Clinical Research Director typically reports to top management. The Clinical Research Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Clinical Research Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Location: Northeastern Louisiana

Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of 50 FTEs, including the Manager of SPD and their dedicated team.
- Oversee the operations of 9 primary ORs and 1 hybrid, facilitating an impressive 5500 surgeries annually.
- Champion the growth and success of our surgical services, with a focus on Orthopedic, General, and Bariatric surgeries.
- Collaborate with 2 existing robots in the surgical arsenal, with a third one on the horizon.
- Coordinate with 3-4 service line leads to ensure streamlined and efficient service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in a surgical services setting.
- Flexibility and adaptability are crucial; we need someone who is not rigid but thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Political savvy is a must; the ability to work alongside leaders and build strong relationships is essential.
- Adept at managing change and driving continuous improvement in surgical operations.
