Clinical Research Manager manages the clinical monitoring process and the administration of clinical trials. Supervises CRAs in in-house and on-site monitoring, filing, and clinical trial administration. Being a Clinical Research Manager oversees adherence to SOPs, Good Clinical Practice and FDA regulations. Helps with the development and implementation of clinical processes, procedures, and programs. Additionally, Clinical Research Manager may require a master's degree in nursing. May require ACRP or SOCRA Clinical Research Professional exam completion. Typically reports to a director. The Clinical Research Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Clinical Research Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     POSITION OVERVIEW:

    This position is responsible for identifying patients appropriate to current available clinical trials in all departments throughout the Great Falls Clinic. This is accomplished through timely screening of medical records to determine eligibility of patients for open clinical trials; completing all documentation required to enroll patients in accordance with clinical trial protocol; managing all aspects of patient care as it relates to clinical trials; collecting data and submitting all documents to appropriate agencies within established protocols and schedules. 

    EDUCATION:

    Nursing License (BSN preferred)

    EXPERIENCE:

    1 year of clinical research

    Oncology experience (preferred)

    LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

    BLS required

    Current license as an RN (preferred)

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    Working knowledge of the concepts of human biology, anatomy/physiology, and chemistry

    Proficient in computer use

    Foundational understanding of medical language and terms

    Ability to work independently

    Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

    Excellent oral and written communication skills

    Flexible to meet the needs of the department

    Can adapt to an ever-changing workload. 

    Phlebotomy skills (preferred)

    Proficient use of Microsoft Office (preferred)
