Diablo Clinical Research (DCR) located in Walnut Creek is hiring 1 clinical Research Assistant (RA) to participate in our one-year hands-on training program that prepares our RAs for graduate school, working as a study coordinator, working for pharma or many other paths in the healthcare field.
In this program, you will work in our front office, back office, and have direct patient interaction (perform vitals, EKGs, administer questionnaires, conduct studies with Point of Care (POC) equipment, interview patients to determine eligibility to participate in clinical research studies and more). The overall program is a minimum 1-year commitment but you are welcome to continue working within our organization and will be prepared to perform other roles in our organization if you are interested.
We have 3 Research Assistants currently in this program and we are looking to add one more. Our Research Assistants who have been most successful in this program use this 1-year as a foundation to prepare to: apply to graduate school, pursue a career in the medical or clinical research field involving direct patient contact and care or work for the pharmaceutical industry.
The first four weeks of the program will be focused on the basic concepts of clinical research and their implementation at the clinical site level and learning the day-to-day operations of our front and back office. The majority of the program will focus on day to day operations supporting the research coordinators and MDs in the implementation of our clinical research studies.
DCR is a dedicated research facility that conducts studies across multiple therapeutic areas including diabetes, pain (OA, DPN, back pain, migraines and more), vaccine, healthy volunteer and device studies. Since the pandemic our office has been and continues to be very active in the COVID vaccine work as well as other vaccine studies (RSV, pneumonia, flu, CMV, etc.); we were one of the 140 sites worldwide to help bring the Pfizer COVID vaccine to market.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from four-year College or University (new graduates welcome)
