The Nursing Director of Operating Room Perioperative Services will be part of an acute care facility accredited by The Joint Commission that has been serving the community for over a century. The Medical Center offers a comprehensive portfolio of medical and surgical services, including a full service Wound Treatment Center.
The Operating Room Perioperative Services Nurse Director will work with physicians, nurses and staff members who strive to exceed patient expectations, while delivering compassionate, quality care.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Operating Room Surgical Services will assume 24 -hour responsibility and accountability for all functions in the Operating Room, Recovery Room, Same-Day Surgery, Sterile Processing and Respiratory Therapy.
The Nursing Director of Operating Room Perioperative Services will oversee operations and the quality of nursing care rendered to all patients in these areas including but not limited to the immediate preoperative stage, the intra-operative stage, and the immediate recovery stage. The Recovery Room and Same Day Surgery provide for all surgical patients requiring Level I and Level II pre- and post-care anesthesia nursing care.
The Surgical Services Operating Room Nurse Director will supervise all personnel in the Operating and Recovery Rooms, Same-Day Surgery Service, Sterile Processing and Respiratory Therapy. The Surgery Operating Room Nursing Director will also analyze and evaluate services utilizing current research to improve patient care outcomes and quality of care.
