Reports To

Director of Culinary Services

Responsibilities

• Assists in the operation of the Culinary Services Department to insure that all meals and services provided to the residents are well balanced, appetizing, and meet the needs and desires of the residents.
• Supervises the Culinary Services personnel, assigns work schedules, and organizes duties so that each employee is aware of job responsibilities.
• Orders food and supplies and maintains an inventory of items.
• This position will work within the scope of positions supervised and will adhere to the policies, procedures and normal practices of the organization.

Qualifications & Experience

• Required Education: Preference will be given to applicants who have graduated from an approved Food Service Training Program and/or have a current Certified Dietary Manager License.
• Experience: Considerable knowledge and/or experience in large quantity cooking, food handling, and kitchen equipment preferred. Previous Health Care Culinary experience preferred.
