Clinical Supervisor - Home Care supervises and manages home care medical and support staff. Assigns cases and coordinates with physicians, patients, and references. Being a Clinical Supervisor - Home Care trains staff in policies, procedures, and regulations. Onboards and mentors new staff. Additionally, Clinical Supervisor - Home Care requires a bachelor's degree. May require an RN. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Supervisor - Home Care supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Clinical Supervisor - Home Care typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Sentara Home Care Newport News is looking for a Clinical Supervisor to lead the team.
The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating patient care resources to meet the clinical needs of patients. The Clinical Supervisor oversees a multidisciplinary team to facilitate appropriate and efficient clinical care. Serves as a resource to clinical staff, physicians, and the public. Makes administrative decisions (in consultation with Area Administrator or Patient Care Manager) regarding potential or actual problematic situations involving the agency or staff. Assists with program and staff development, program implementation and policy/procedure development and compliance. Engages in talent retention strategies for the area(s) of responsibility. Responsible for excellent customer service delivery.
Requirements:
- 2 Years HH, HO, IV experience
- 1 year supervisory experience required, preferred 1 yr. clinical supervisory experience.
- All RNs who do not have their BSN will be required to sign a BSN Agreement committing to successfully obtaining their BSN within 5 years of hire
