Cloud Systems Analyst is responsible for the design and management of an organization's cloud systems, applications, policies, and strategy. Evaluates and identifies the best cloud solutions for the organization. Being a Cloud Systems Analyst develops and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) platforms. Ensures the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy. Additionally, Cloud Systems Analyst monitors and analyzes cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Designs controls and processes that utilize available audit tools. Maintains up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Cloud Systems Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • Overview

    Responsible for the operation, analysis, testing, troubleshooting and documentation of all software applications and processes used throughout the enterprise.

    Responsibilities

    • Analyzes requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system.• Coordinates the problem solving process among the business stakeholders and ensures that the business standards and requirements are met.• May work independently or with project management to analyze current information processing systems and operational procedures in order to evaluate effectiveness, identify problems, translate user requirements into technical specifications and propose solutions.• Communicates application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, project management, development teams and end users.• Creates and deploys feedback mechanisms for end users. Documents and analyzes results, makes recommendations for support process improvement, and implements changes.• Fields incoming problem tickets from support personnel to resolve application and software issues within servers, databases, and other mission-critical systems.• Prepares workflow charts and diagrams to specify in detail operations to be performed by equipment and computer programs and operations to be performed by personnel in system.• Reviews computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system. • Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program• Documents, creates and implements user data requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reports.• Uses coding methods for specific programming language to enhance or initiate integration among the various systems.• Thoroughly tests upgrades, patches, fixes and new releases and documents the steps necessary to perform these system changes.  Conducts post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.• Documents, creates and deploys methods to monitor applications for expected performance and responds to errors and emergency problems immediately.• Adheres to IT policy and procedures that establish the required separation of duties for operational controls.  Works closely with the proper authority to ensure  that IT policies and procedures satisfy all applicable rules, regulations and policies, including, but not limited to, Minimum Internal Control Standards, Compact and Federal Law.• Plans and prepares technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals as documentation of program development.• May direct and coordinate work of others to develop, test, install, and modify programs.• Maintains contact with application vendors and support specialists to troubleshoot problems or malfunctions to resolution.• Maintains current knowledge of latest technology and system developments, upgrades, revisions and replacements.• Continually coordinates with end-users, departments, IT Department and vendors to ensure system continuity and applicability.• Performs other related duties as directed

    Qualifications

    • Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred or three years of experience in an IT field.• One year of experience in specialized applications.• Should be familiar with general database operations, preferably with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2008. • Must possess excellent troubleshooting skills and have the ability to communicate technical guidance and information to end users.• Database proficiency to include data-entry methods, information flow and accessibility, table/query building and extracting presentation-worthy reports.• Must effectively communicate with all levels of personnel including conveying highly technical information to non-technical staff. • Must be able to handle multiple projects concurrently and effectively balance priorities. • Must be able to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action within acceptable criteria.• Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience and tact.• Exceptional detail and follow-up skills.• Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.• Native American hiring preference applies.
