Cloud Systems Analyst is responsible for the design and management of an organization's cloud systems, applications, policies, and strategy. Evaluates and identifies the best cloud solutions for the organization. Being a Cloud Systems Analyst develops and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) platforms. Ensures the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy. Additionally, Cloud Systems Analyst monitors and analyzes cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Designs controls and processes that utilize available audit tools. Maintains up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Cloud Systems Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     SUMMARY

    The Cloud Systems Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining system architectures for cloud hosting platforms as well as Continuous Integration/ Continuous Development (CI/CD) Pipelines. The Cloud Systems Architect works closely with Information Assurance, Senior Developers, DevOps Engineers, Test Engineers, Product Owners, and with Creative Technologists to produce effective and functional solutions while maintaining architecture integrity across all project phases.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Research and evaluate or provide direction to others researching and evaluating new technologies coming to market and their potential application to IT strategies and business plans.
    • Maintains a strong understanding of the current landscape and proactively leads the analysis of the current technology environment to detect deficiencies, gaps, and opportunities. Works with leadership to prioritize, initiate and implement technology efforts aimed at addressing these opportunities.
    • Performs expert-level Cloud system architecture, design and development work.
    • Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis as required.
    • Serves as Cloud subject-matter expert to customers/stakeholders.
    • Must be able to create PowerPoint presentations and deliver that content to customer audience in live or virtual meetings.
    • Serves as technical Cloud subject matter expert in meetings with management and customers/stakeholders.
    • Serves as technical Cloud liaison between management, engineers, and customers/stakeholders.
    • Identify areas of improvement related to system security, cost, functionality, and scalability.
    • Evaluates, recommends, and reviews completion and implementation of Cloud system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management.
    • Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
    • Stays abreast of emerging Cloud technologies and capabilities.
    • Helps evaluate, design, and architect Cloud platforms and onboarding processes for new Cloud adopters.
    • Helps communicate the Cloud platforms added value to current and future government stakeholders.
    • Understands the FedRAMP and DoD Cloud Security Requirements Guide requirements and has an in-depth understanding of Federal and DoD Information Assurance (IA) requirements, processes and policies.
    • Develops detailed Level of Efforts (LoE), Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), cost estimations, price to win analysis, and cost saving strategies.
    • Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements:


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
    • Active AWS associate related certification.
    • Current CompTIA Security certification or willing to get certification within 6 months.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
    • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
    • Proven hands-on experience in installing, configuring, operating, and monitoring CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, or other CI/CD technologies.
    • 3 years hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud deployment technologies.
    • Strong knowledge of Linux Operating systems and scripting tools such as Python, bash, etc.
    • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

    • Experience with application performance tools such as AppDynamics or other.
    • Experience architecting/implementing Cloud solutions for Federal Government agencies a plus.
    • Self-starter who is comfortable working both independently and with various skill sets including other integrators and testers.
    • Must have good understanding of cloud technology, be solution-oriented, and able to present to management and customers the best path forward to solving problems.
    • Organized and efficient with ability to document systems architecture.
    • Must be analytical and able to problem solve for technical issues.
    • Must be able to work in a team environment and be able to work independently with little or no supervision, be exceedingly well organized, flexible.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
    • Demonstrated ability to perform diverse duties while operating under time constraints.
    • Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.
    • Professional certification(s) are a plus.

    TRAVEL

    Potential for travel. When required, employee will need to complete an MVR check.


    DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

    Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Position consists of sitting for long periods of time. Frequently uses hands/fingers for manipulation of keyboard and mouse.
