Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer to work at MacDill AFB, FL. A United States Citizenship and an active TS/SCI DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
• Plans and leads major technology assignments.
• Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
• Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
• May supervise others.

Qualifications

Experience/Skills:

• 5-10 years of experience in the field and have a broad understanding of different aspects of IT, including hardware, software, networking, and security.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
• Experience with IT service management practices and a deep understanding of security and risk management.
• Familiarity with government and industry standards, such as NIST, FedRAMP, and FISMA.
• Expected to have a solid understanding of the following skills:
  • Cloud Computing: Extensive knowledge of cloud computing and experience working with cloud-based platforms, such as Azure or AWS.
  • Virtualization: Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware, and knowledge of virtualization management tools and techniques.
  • Networking: Strong understanding of networking concepts, including routing, switching, and network security.
  • Storage: Knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN and NAS, and experience working with storage management tools.
  • Security: Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing secure solutions, including knowledge of security protocols, authentication, and authorization.
  • Operating Systems: Knowledge of operating systems, including Windows and Linux, and experience working with server and desktop operating systems.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage projects and lead teams, including experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including technical and non-technical staff.
  • DoD regulations and policies: Familiarity with DoD regulations, policies, and procedures related to information technology, security, and privacy.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field

Clearance:

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.
• Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
