SAIC is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to directly support the modernization of the space launch ranges, meeting mission requirements, providing range capabilities, and supporting the Assured Access to Space (AATS) mission. The overarching purpose of this program is to perform system modernization and digital transformation projects that will enable the acceleration of the space launch cadence to enable the Spaceport of the future.
The Could Solutions Architect will provide cloud design, migration, associated governance solutions. The selected candidate will be an expert in all aspects of Cloud Computing and Engineering who readily adapts to support a variety of challenging technical requirements in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This will include eliciting and documenting requirements, identifying the appropriate technical solution, and develop and test products against business needs.
Job Duties:
Designs, plans, and integrates cloud computing systems using infrastructure as code and modern cloud-native deployment techniques such as DevOps and/or DevSecOps.
Maintains technical expertise relevant industry standards and best practices in cloud computing and virtualization technologies such as cloud service provider architecture, design, and configuration; cloud deployment models including, private, and hybrid; cloud service delivery models including infrastructure-, platform-, and software-as-a-service; automation; hypervisors; containers; virtual compute, storage, and networks; virtual infrastructure management; self-provisioning; and scaling.
Develops and conducts testing of cloud and virtualization systems to advance prototyping solutions.
Develop migration strategies - identifying technical, cost, and security risks
Ensuring that cloud-based technical solutions are suitable, applicable, and scalable within the enterprise environment
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
