Watermark Design Group, an established Mobile area Architecture, Planning, Landscape Architecture, and Interior Design firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Architect to join our team. The Project Architect will be responsible for leading the design and development of various projects from conception through to completion, ensuring that they meet the client's needs and requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with the design team, contractors, and clients to ensure that all project deliverables are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage the design process from conception to completion, ensuring that the project meets the client's needs and requirements.
• Work closely with the design team, contractors, and clients to ensure that all project deliverables are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members, including junior architects, designers, and drafters.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including architectural plans, specifications, and project schedules.
• Review and approve design and construction documents, ensuring that they meet all applicable codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments within the company, such as project management, construction, and engineering, to ensure the successful completion of projects.
• Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are clearly understood and met.
• Ensure that all project communication is clear, concise, and timely.

Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that construction is progressing according to plan

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• At least 5 years of experience in architectural design, with a focus on commercial, industrial, or institutional projects.
• Experience managing projects from conception to completion.
• Strong design skills and experience with various design software programs.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Candidates currently living in Mobile, Alabama or the surrounding area. Candidates interested in relocation will be considered.
• Licensed Architect with NCARB certification. Highly qualified Intern Architects with interest in pursuing licensure will be considered.
• LEED AP Certified or interest in pursuing certification
