Cloud Systems Architect is responsible for the design and management of an organization's cloud systems, applications, policies, and strategy. Evaluates and identifies the best cloud solutions for the organization. Being a Cloud Systems Architect develops and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) platforms. Ensures the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy. Additionally, Cloud Systems Architect monitors and analyzes cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Designs controls and processes that utilize available audit tools. Maintains up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Cloud Systems Architect works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.     American Systems is seeking a Combat Control Systems (AN/BYG-1) Engineering Technician to support efforts in Groton, CT.

    As a Combat Control Systems Engineer Technician you will:

    A week in the life of a Combat Control Systems Engineer Technician:

    • Assist with test and evaluation; perform validations/verifications of AN/BYG-1systems
    • Assist in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions (ECI)
    • Develop technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements
    • Support systems engineering activities with subject matter expertise
    • Direct on-site customer interface for equipment/systems installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed
    • Comply with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, and system specifications and test procedures; review change proposals for equipment impacts
    Job Requirements
    • Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Secret Clearance.
    • Technical (Military/Trade) school/training beyond high school and at least 8 years of job-related experience or an equivalent
    • Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, repairing networking equipment and Windows servers and workstations
    • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
