Co-Pilot (Large Jet) pilots or co-pilots aircraft following standard operating procedures to ensure that flights operate according to all regulations, safety, and company policies. Follows required procedures to perform pre-flight checks and inspections. Being a Co-Pilot (Large Jet) determines flight routes, speed, take-off, and landing times that will fulfill scheduling requirements. Completes required documentation and performs post-flight procedures as required. Additionally, Co-Pilot (Large Jet) may require a bachelor's degree. Requires Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate. Requires FAA Commercial Pilot's License. Typically reports to chief pilot. The Co-Pilot (Large Jet) work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Responsibilities:
- Conducting hourly line walks and investigate all line kick outs and take immediate action to reduce scrap to meet company target.
-Accurately fill out production down time sheets
- Make any repairs in 15 minutes or less.
- Complete any changes over in a timely manner and fill-out change over sheets, line clearance sheet upon completion and conduct group leader checks before production starts.
- At start of shift ensure all lines start up in timely manner and assist operators in doing so.
- Complete any task that the staff engineer, team leader, or assistant manager request.
