Co-Pilot (Small Non-Jet) assists captain of the aircraft (non-jet smaller than 12,500 pounds at takeoff) with flight duties. Supports captain in calculating flight routes, speed, and take off and landing times to ensure aircraft meets scheduling requirements. Being a Co-Pilot (Small Non-Jet) keeps navigation manuals and charts up-to-date. Must stay current with federal and local flight regulations. Additionally, Co-Pilot (Small Non-Jet) must be capable of taking full control of aircraft while in flight. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires FAA pilot certificate with necessary type ratings. Co-Pilot (Small Non-Jet)'s years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Undergrad Co-op - Drug Substance Pilot Plant

During this full-time, 6-month program (July – December 2024), you will have the opportunity to work closely with a multi-disciplinary team in our state-of-the-art Mammalian Cell Culture and Purification Pilot Plant. We are seeking a hardworking individual to join the Pilot Plant Network as an Undergrad University Co-Op. This full-time, on-site position will provide an understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry today, as well as the challenges and opportunities that will drive the development of new medicines in the future. This co-op will be approximately 26 weeks and include both project-based and experiential learning. Amgen provides a state-of-the-art workspace and promotes collaboration with senior leadership through a series of formal and informal events. Co-Ops will be encouraged to spend time participating in activities and networking with staff across the organization.
As an undergrad Co-Op, you will apply coursework concepts to real-world situations working alongside and guided by industry professionals while gaining valuable experience working for a world-class global bio-manufacturing company. You will become part of the Drug Substance Pilot Plant – Amgen’s Center of Excellence for advancing new technologies – and will be mentored by senior staff members. The base pay range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $24.70 - $28.30 per hour.
