Co-Pilot (Small Non-Jet) assists captain of the aircraft (non-jet smaller than 12,500 pounds at takeoff) with flight duties. Supports captain in calculating flight routes, speed, and take off and landing times to ensure aircraft meets scheduling requirements. Being a Co-Pilot (Small Non-Jet) keeps navigation manuals and charts up-to-date. Must stay current with federal and local flight regulations. Additionally, Co-Pilot (Small Non-Jet) must be capable of taking full control of aircraft while in flight. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires FAA pilot certificate with necessary type ratings. Co-Pilot (Small Non-Jet)'s years of experience requirement may be unspecified. JOB SUMMARY
The Rotor-Wing IFR Strike Team Pilot assists with coverage of open shifts as needed at assigned IFR bases and provides assistance with the start-up and standardization of new IFR bases.
They are responsible for all operations involving company aircraft is in compliance with the Federal Aviation Regulations, Part 135, Air Evac EMS Operations Manual and all state or municipal regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES
Discrepancies noted during the pre-flight will be noted in the engineering log with a notification to maintenance of the discrepancy and what corrective action is being taken
thus ensuring safe, efficient transport
