Coding Compliance Specialist researches and develops the pre-certification insurance policy standards and criteria used by case management and utilization reviewers that will ensure that requested medical services are appropriate and medically necessary. Collaborates with medical professionals to resolve questions about policy development and standards. Being a Coding Compliance Specialist assigns correct ICD, CPT, or other coding assignments for medical procedures that support policy standards in claims systems. Provides expertise and solutions to users regarding the appropriate coding for claims. Additionally, Coding Compliance Specialist has broad knowledge of medical coding systems. May require an associate degree in healthcare administration, a related field, or equivalent. Requires AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC). May alternatively require Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Coding Compliance Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented person with payroll & benefits experience to join our team.
Highly Confidential Position: Responsible for maintaining all aspects of the payroll systems & the processing payroll accurately and timely. Administer and coordinate all employee benefits.
Brief description of Duties:
-Exhibit polite and professional communication
-Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits
-Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations
-Conduct audits to ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits
-Collaborate with vendors and third-party administrators to resolve benefit-related issues
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding their benefits options
- Enters new hires into payroll and benefits systems·
-Keeps track of each employee’s daily timesheet data throughout duration of each pay period. Checking timesheets for accuracy.
- Makes all adjustments to employee’s information as needed in payroll and benefits systems (tax info, personal info, deductions, payments, direct deposit, ext.…)
- Processing any wage garnishments
-Making all adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses, per diems and commissions.
-Processes and maintains all 1099’s.
- Runs and distributes timely all payroll reports for management employees.
-Confirms approvals for timesheets and PTO.
Job Qualifications
· High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
· Advanced degree in business or related field preferred.
· One year experience in payroll and benefits administration. (ADP & Quick Books experience preferred)
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
