JOB SUMMARY
The Production Technician meets daily production needs in manufacturing quality parts at Pontotoc Spring.  Starting pay is $19 an hour and goes up to more than $30.00 an hour.

REPORTING TO
Production Supervisor

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Work safely in a team environment
• Meet daily production needs in manufacturing quality parts
• Must be able to read and learn to interpret specification sheets and mechanical drawings
• Must be able to learn to read precision measuring instruments
• Set-up/Troubleshoot equipment
• Assist other shifts or areas as needed
• Keep work area clean

SKILLS and ABILITIES
• Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints, specification sheets, and/or mechanical drawings and in precision measurement and become proficient through training.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
• High School Education or GED
• Must score Silver level or higher on Work Keys test

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds at 225 pieces per hour
• Must be able to stand and walk on concrete plant floor for extended periods of time (up to 12-hour shifts)
