    What You’ll Do:
    • Oversees basic accounting procedures including accounts receivable, accounts payable, timekeeping, purchasing and invoicing.
    • Verifies, records and processes vendor invoice payments.
    • Codes invoices, reconciles accounts and maintains vendor records.
    • Creates purchase orders.
    • Communicates with customers and addresses past due invoices.
    • Identifies and implements improvements to existing processes and systems.
    • Prepares bank deposits.
    • Records general journal entries.
    • Assists with the creation of monthly financial statements.
    • Provides support during audits.
    Qualifications:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
    • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strives for continuous improvement and creative new solutions.
    • Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills.
    Nice to Haves:
    • Knowledge of defense contracting
    • Experience with Unanet ERP
    Education/Credentials:
    • Associate Degree in Accounting or Related Field
    • US Citizenship is required for consideration, as this job requires a US government security clearance.
      • Nice to have - Secret level clearance.
      • Acceptable - No current clearance but eligibility to obtain
    Physical Demands:
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position and work on a computer for prolonged periods
