Collateral Appraiser conducts commercial real estate appraisals and property ratings to establish the market value generally used for investment guidance, lending, insurance, or other purposes. Follows standard processes for conducting and documenting on-site property inspections. Being an Collateral Appraiser performs data collection and research on building permits, prior assessments, and relevant market and economic conditions that impact property value. Reviews building plans and specifications and investigates the quality of the construction, the overall condition of the property, and the surrounding location. Additionally, Collateral Appraiser uses generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Utilizes appraisal software tools and databases. Ensures that reports comply with required policies, formats, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. May require the Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a manager. The Collateral Appraiser occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     POSITION SUMMARY:

    Responsible for processing a variety of tasks related to the payoff servicing of all consumer loan products and mortgage loan products. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who shares our vision to WOW both internal and external customers with exceptional customer service; comes to work every day with a positive, can-do attitude; approaches each task with a strong attention to detail; and works together with other team members to ensure all Loan Servicing responsibilities are completed on a daily basis.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

    • Provides exceptional customer service via phone, email, and internal department interaction

    • Demonstrates a strong attention to detail in all daily functions and the ability to perform repetitive daily tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy

    • Demonstrates the ability to conduct research utilizing all tools and systems available

    • Introduction to perfecting titles and title releases for consumer loans

    • Introduction to all title collateral duties including, but not limited to, confirmation of VIN, document and title tracking, electronic lien titling in various states, Preferred Marine mortgage processing for documented vessels

    • Introduction to title follow up tasks as needed

    • Processes payoff quotes and verification of loans for both consumer and mortgage loans

    • Processes incoming wires and checks for both consumer and mortgage loan payoffs

    • Prints and mails daily notices and statements as needed

    • Introduction to processing HELOC and mortgage reconveyances

    • Introduction to UCC Filings, Continuations, and Terminations

    • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned

    Qualifications


    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • High school graduate or equivalent

    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment

    • Vehicle and/or Vessel Title experience ideal, but not required

     

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Products and other Database software.
