Collateral Appraiser conducts commercial real estate appraisals and property ratings to establish the market value generally used for investment guidance, lending, insurance, or other purposes. Follows standard processes for conducting and documenting on-site property inspections. Being an Collateral Appraiser performs data collection and research on building permits, prior assessments, and relevant market and economic conditions that impact property value. Reviews building plans and specifications and investigates the quality of the construction, the overall condition of the property, and the surrounding location. Additionally, Collateral Appraiser uses generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Utilizes appraisal software tools and databases. Ensures that reports comply with required policies, formats, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. May require the Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a manager. The Collateral Appraiser occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     SUMMARY: Under the direction of the IAS Supervisor, the IAS Servicing Specialist 1 will perform servicing functions that support the following teams: Branch Support, Domestic Wires, Escrow, Insurance, Loan Collateral Management, or Research. The IAS Servicing Specialist 1 is responsible for a variety of functions striving to optimize the customer experience. The incumbent must maintain a high level of accuracy and provide proactive communication and support to bank and shared services associates.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Review work queues, process transaction requests initiated daily by the customer, and complete transaction requests within established timelines. Perform follow-up with customers and/or internal associates as needed.
    • Provide guidance to bank associates regarding account servicing questions for functions such as: monitoring and tracking escrow and insurance transactions for loan accounts; processing incoming and outgoing domestic wires initiated from multiple channels; procuring and maintaining loan collateral throughout the life of a loan; tracking of currency exchanges; researching outstanding cash items and handling error resolution; and researching bank records and tax records to satisfy summons request, court order, etc.
    • Communicate and explain the different types of bank products (within functional support area) to customers and bank associates. Provide an understanding of processes to gain efficiencies.
    • Analyze and input data into various system applications and ensure that the integrity and accuracy of information is maintained.
    • Diligently execute on daily servicing takes with in the given functional area to ensure the company is in the best possible position to serve the customer and protect the shareholder.
    • Perform all duties within established department Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
    • Escalates questionable transactions and reoccurring issues to management in a clear and timely manner.
    • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
    • 1 year of relevant experience required.
    • CBS/Signature experience preferred.
