Gilbertsville, KY 42044 USADescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated Sales Representative to join our team at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park. The Sales Representative will be responsible for conducting outside sales calls to generate business for the park. This includes selling products and services to businesses, groups, associations, government agencies, schools, and more. The Sales Representative will also manage and conduct digital marketing campaigns to generate sales.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct outside sales calls to government, military, associations, corporations, and other small meeting markets
- Act as supervisor for Park Group Sales Coordinator and others to be assigned by providing training, guidance, scheduling, and time approval
- Create and execute marketing campaigns across various approved outlets
- Qualify group and sales inquiries and book business in an effective and timely manner
- Coordinate with assigned onsite park staff prior to the even to inspect room set-ups and special requests
- Follow-up with clients after events to schedule rebooking future events
- Generate monthly revenue, forecast, and other appropriate reports
- Prepare monthly reports regarding progress against targets
- Proven experience as a Sales Representative or similar role
- Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Experience with digital marketing campaigns a plus
- Experience in the hospitality industry a plus
Minimum RequirementsEDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: NONE
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in outside sales will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must possess a valid driver's license prior to time of appointment in this classification. http://transportation.ky.gov/driver-licensing/ Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this classification.
