Job Overview:

As a Collection Representative, you will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding accounts receivable from our clients. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to negotiate effectively.

Responsibilities:
- Contact clients via phone or email to discuss outstanding accounts and collect payments
- Utilize coding and accounting software to accurately track and update account information
- Review and analyze accounts payable and accounts receivable records
- Negotiate payment plans with clients to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving any issues or disputes
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and update account information as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any billing or payment discrepancies
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices in medical collection and financial concepts

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in collections or accounts receivable is preferred
- Strong knowledge of coding, accounting software, debits, credits, and financial concepts
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally
- Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in accounting or finance is a plus
