Qualifications

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

1. Ability to maintain excellent attention to detail.

4. Requires strong documentation skills. 
5. Ability to be task-oriented and work independently with strong initiative. 
6. Ability to process a high volume of work. 
7. Knowledge and understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). 
8. Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills. 
9. Ability to work in computer programs/applications such as Vista, Donor ID, Excel spreadsheets, etc.
10. Ability to maintain confidentiality. 
11. Ability to problem-solve, think independently and seek direction when needed. 
12. Ability to provide guidance on donor eligibility. 
13. Ability to work at other work sites (donor centers) based on tasks/training. 
14. Excellent interpersonal customer service skills with both internal and external customers.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED. LVN Degree.

EXPERIENCE:                
Two years’ Blood Banking experience in Collections and Apheresis experience is preferred but not required. 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, ETC.

Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) License and current CPR Certification. Valid driver’s license. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Refer to ADA checklist attached for physical demands.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Standard office conditions with minimal health and safety risks.
