    How You Will Contribute:

    The Patient Account Specialist is responsible for verification of benefits and overall Revenue Cycle functions. The Patient Account Specialist helps improve cash flow and participates in increasing the overall health of the company’s receivables.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Verifies patient insurance benefit information through VOB process.
    • Documents benefit specifics for various plans and identifies any coverage restrictions.
    • Provides excellent customer service with the ability to communicate to both insurance companies and patients.
    • Performs weekly benefit rechecks as requested.
    • Review, scan, label, and upload all patient account correspondence, including insurance correspondence.
    • Documents activities and communicates to supervisor as appropriate.
    • Drives company vehicle from Business Office to local facilities to collect various items.
    • Patient demographic entry for record keeping.
    • Timely follow up on all outstanding insurance claims.
    • Communicating with patients and collecting patient payments.

    What We Are Seeking:

    • High school diploma with at least one (1) year of healthcare experience required.
    • Prior experience in Mental Health, Substance Abuse Disorder Treatment or behavioral healthcare field preferred
    • Strong computer and communication skills

    Other Requirements

    Position requires incumbent to have a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
