    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Business Development Specialist (BDS) works closely with the CEO and Executive Team to develop strategic business plans to build relationships with referring sources, key stakeholders, and other individuals to drive patient referral volume and revenue target growth to Careteam Plus. The BDS is a key representative of the primary care local brand in the market and is a trusted partner to external and internal stakeholders.

    The BDS is a healthcare relationship builder who maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, conducts market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and patient and client needs. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and drive business growth.

    Directly responsible for creating demand for primary care healthcare services through the effective application of ethical marketing principles and sales methods while presenting a positive and professional public image of Careteam Plus within the community.

    The Account Manager is responsible for implementing the facility’s strategic plan, enhancing the facility’s brand/image, effectively mapping, and managing the Careteam Plus multi-county service area. The BDS demonstrates tact, resourcefulness, patience, and dedication in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Primarily responsible for executing strategic business development/networking activities, such as cold calling, field marketing, and community meetings to drive referrals & revnue to Careteam Plus Inc
    • Manage relationships with existing referral sources and patients/clients to facilitate repeat/continued business and develop new referral relationships.
    • Maintains acute awareness of current and potential competitive forces in the marketplace.
    • Ensures an active and continuous marketing plan that meets the overall strategic objectives is in place.
    • Develops and maintains Healthcare related relationships and seeks opportunities for new partnerships in the community.
    • Rounds daily with key position partners.
    • Develop, maintain, and build relationships with stakeholders in the Careteam service area to identify potential referrals targeting underinsured, uninsured, insured, and private pay insured individuals.
    • Represent Careteam brand at events, conferences, local events, and other community functions.
    • Acts as a liaison between referring sources and Careteam Operations to ensure education on referral processes and patient communication and scheduling occurs timely.
    • Serves as a service recovery specialist when patients/clients exit service due to dissatisfaction or another potentially repairable reason. Conducts swift follow up and action to recover.
    • Meets and exceeds new patient referral key performance indicator targets.
    • Careteam staff work together as a team and help each other and patients/clients by performing other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Public Health or related field required.
    • Master’s degree preferred.

    Experience

    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a healthcare, marketing, sales, or business development setting preferred,

    • Demonstrated successful experience in utilizing operational best practices involving strategic thinking to analyze information and align objectives with organizational success required.
    • Strong customer service focus leader required.
    • Exemplarily verbal and written communication skills required.
    • Highly organized, flexible, and able to determine & time manage competing priorities required.
    • Evidence of sound decision-making judgment and resourcefulness in problem solving required.
    • Able to delegate and identify pathways for successful timely task and project completion required.
    • Strong ability to establish quick rapport and relationships with all members of the organization required.
    • Highly proficient PC skills, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office software required.

    • Consistently positive attitude, with a commitment to ongoing self-development

    Other

    • Valid and in good standing SC driver’s license
    • Personal transportation to travel varying locations throughout the tri-county service region required.
    • Travel requirements: Primarily day-time travel within assigned service area and occasional overnight travel.
    • Meets Careteam Plus Employee Health Tuberculosis screening program requirements.
