Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting and Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks, including accounts receivable, collections efforts, data entry for receipts, and classifying incoming expenses. The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to ensure accurate financial records, timely collection of outstanding debts, and efficient expense management.Key Responsibilities:
A/R & Collections:- Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments.
- Implement effective collections strategies to minimize overdue accounts.
- Contact customers via phone, email, and other communication channels to facilitate payment discussions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of account status and collection efforts
- Escalate collection issues to management as required, providing timely updates on progress.
Data Entry and Expense Classification:- Accurately record and classify incoming receipts and expenses into the accounting system.
- Verify and reconcile expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Maintain organized documentation of financial transactions for audit and reporting purposes.
Compliance:- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements related to accounts receivable, collections, and expense recording.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience 3 in accounting and collections roles, including data entry and expense management.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience with Quickbooks or Quickbooks Online required
