Collections Specialist - Healthcare jobs in Lawrence, MA

Position Summary:

The Collections Specialist at DemandScience ensures collection of payments from customers is done so in a timely and efficient manner. You will manage incoming billing inquiries and collectability concerns, generate weekly aging reports in a timely manner as well as other projects requested. This position is hybrid requiring some travel to our Danvers, Massachusettes, office.

Essential Job Functions "What You'll Do":

• Monitor accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts.
• Maintain records of customer engagement with delinquent customers as well as records of any payments collected from the customer.
• Respond to incoming billing inquiries and collectability concerns.
• Send invoices, past due statements and statements of accounts to clients on a timely basis.
• Collection of past due accounts to achieve or exceed cash collection targets on monthly (or quarterly) basis.
• Analysis and reporting of A/R Aging and collection activity schedule.
• Production of cash collection forecast reports and cash balance reporting.
• Preparation of credit memo, write-off and withholding tax requests.
• Assist in filling out vendor forms, W-9 and other statutory requirements from clients.
• Monitor collections and independently carry out assignments without direction, taking the initiative to solve problems.
• Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress.
• Support the Account Receivable department through investigating discrepancies to timely payment.
• Research payment discrepancies and deliver detailed results.
• Proactively work with fellow team members and client personnel to trouble shoot and overcome any invoice to timely payments.
• Meticulously execute complex client account reconciliation.

Essential Qualifications "What You'll Need":

• 5-7 years Accounts receivable collection experience.
• Performs other duties as required or requested.
• Complies with all policies, regulations, and standards.
• Demonstrates company values at all times.
• Knowledge of various collection techniques High
• Proficient in NetSuite
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to anticipate needs and interact professionally with customers.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Problem solving and critical-thinking skills.
